This Southwest Atlanta family owned a classic John Wieland estate with great bones — it just needed an update to match their style and lifestyle. GOODESIGN completely reimagined the main floor, beginning with the kitchen, where the outdated peninsula was replaced with a large island and a new lounge area featuring a dry bar for the adults. The kitchen is glamorous yet functional and stylish, with glass bar shelving and a wine fridge that pair elegance with everyday usability.
In the family room, the two-story fireplace was bumped out and redesigned with a custom mantle and natural marble stone surround, then finished in dark charcoal paint to create a bold, dramatic focal point. Flanked by custom picture shelving on either side, the feature balances sophistication with warmth.
The powder room received a bold makeover with a fun, patterned wallpaper, while the mudroom was transformed with custom built-in cabinetry and a picture ledge to display cherished sports memories. Throughout the home, a crisp white palette with navy accents provides a timeless, tailored feel.
A plush pit sofa anchors the family room for gatherings, and panoramic doors seamlessly connect the indoors and outdoors — creating a bright, inviting space perfect for entertaining.
